We recognise that technology is rapidly changing the way that legal services are delivered. The GZGTech department focuses on innovation and opportunities in the legal tech market in Cyprus and solving our clients’ complex problems with compliant by design solutions.
Our team evaluates processes that can be simplified and enhanced using technological innovations, blockchain and artificial intelligence. We work closely with the strategic legal advisory services provided by other practice groups within the firm, allowing us to handle large quantities of administrative work and to achieve better outcomes promptly and more efficiently.
We help our clients to protect their intellectual property in an ever-changing world. We advise and assist across the IP cycle, from IP registration, ownership, franchising and licensing to data protection, alignment, and transfer.
The team handles both contentious and non-contentious matters, with particular focus on brand management, IP rights protection, including trademarks, copyrights, industrial designs and advertising campaigns, domain registration and protection, and IP litigation and arbitration. We regularly contest decisions made by the Cyprus Consumer Protection Authority and the Cyprus Radio Television Authority. Tax advice in relation to IP rights also forms part of the practice.

The firm is the sole Cypriot member of the Global Advertising Lawyers Alliance (GALA), whose members are noted for their expertise and experience in advertising, marketing and promotion law, and the International Association of Trusted Blockchain Applications (INATBA), which offers a global forum for public and private developers and users of DLT to interact with regulators and policymakers.
